Sports Illustrated has six regional covers for this week’s baseball preview issue.
The cover boys are all hurlers, three lefties and three righties. They are: Justin Verlander of the Tigers, C.C. Sabathia of the Yankees, Stephen Strasburg of the Nationals, David Price of the Rays, James Shields of the Royals and Clayton Kershaw of the Dodgers.
This Cleveland Indians “Harlem Shake” video, featuring manager Terry Francona, Nick Swisher (as Ohio State football player) and Jason Giambi (as Green Man), is absolutely amazing.
Mr. October and Mr. Weather. There are no limits to how sad this Yankees season is shaping up.

So, I guess the cover “series” is a thing for Sports Illustrated now, joining the regional covers that are released in separate parts of the country.
I like the top two executions best on the passing of Stan Musial, and, as a longtime magazine collector, I prefer one definitive issue and cover photo.
