According to the New York Post, C.C. Sabathia ia signed as part owner of a Hooters knockoff called Canz, set to open in Murray Hill on Friday night.
The Post describes the place as a “boobs and beer joint.” I’d better pop in this weekend to make sure that’s accurate.

The next time someone argues that baseball players don’t need to be in shape, this would be Exhibit A. That is a GUT, man.
But C.C. Sabathia is straight dealing in his last 12 starts: 10-2, 2.04 ERA, and opponents are slugging .279 off him during that period. Absurd that was he initially left off the AL All-Star team.
Oh, Lupica. (Blast from the past via @mikeaxisa)
C.C. Sabathia finishes the season’s first half at 13-4, with a 2.72 ERA.
In his last four starts, C.C. has allowed just one earned run in 31.2 innings.
C.C. Sabathia (11-4, 3.05) was straight dealing Thursday afternoon, striking out 13 Brewers in the Yankees’ 5-0 victory over Milwaukee.
New York maintains a 2 1/2-game lead over the Red Sox and will begin July the same way it did April, May and June … in first place.
Couple of interesting stats: All of Sabathia’s Ks were swinging, and the Yankees have allowed four or fewer runs in 17 of their last 18 games.
