Porn stars Sara Jay and Angelina Castro promise BJs to all of their Twitter followers if the Miami Heat win the NBA title, encouraging use of the hashtag #TeamBJNBA.

I’m still rooting for the Thunder.

Miami Herald Runs Macy’s Ad Congratulating Heat On Winning NBA Title

As if reading the Sports section didn’t suck enough for Heat fans this morning, Miami Herald readers opened their paper to find a nearly full-page ad reading “Congratulations Miami!” next to photos of Heat championship T-shirts and hats from Macy’s. (“Raise Another Banner” — ughhhhh.)

Never would’ve expected an NBA Finals cover of Sports Illustrated to not include LeBron James, but this shot sums up the defensive effort Dwyane Wade is giving is this series. Just flying at everyone, 7-footers included.

Excellent piece today by Jason Whitlock on how LeBron James is getting a bad rap for not living up to Michael Jordan’s image, when he should be lauded for mirroring the play of Bill Russell, the NBA’s greatest winner.
Whitlock writes:

Now, thanks to the Jordan narrative, a superstar is almost solely defined by his ability to score in the fourth quarter. Making the smart, humble play is worthy of derision and sneering questions.
Maybe it’s just the reality-TV era we live in. Maybe the phenomenon can’t be reduced to sports alone. Here in America, we’re living in a selfish, disconnected time. It’s every man for himself. That’s what we respect. That’s why, when we define winning, we put Jordan ahead of Russell despite an inferior resume.

Gained a ton of respect back for LeBron after he gave this assclown reporter a respectful and accurate answer to his condescending question. The Heat are playing great defense during these entire playoffs but aren’t getting enough credit, because they don’t have shot-blocking “twin towers” or something like that. But they are flying at the ball, creating tough shots, and they’ve been doing that for four rounds.
